Season 4 of Fauda on Netflix - superb. Great action, suspense and ensemble acting as before. The moody Lior Raz as Doron leading the pack along with his team of Eli, Steve, Sagi, Nurit, Russo, Gabi. The beautiful Lucy Ayoub as Maya is the new character this season driving the narrative. Like in the show where her character straddles both the Jewish and Arab worlds and is viewed with suspicion by both, in real life she is the daughter of an Arab father and a Jewish mother. Ayoub speaks both Arabic and Hebrew. She says of her self-identity in poetry: "Some of you will say I will always be the daughter of the Arab, and at the same time, in the eyes of others, I will always be the daughter of the Jewess. So do not suddenly tell me that I can not be both."
The finale episode is a either a fitting end for the series or a cliffhanger for a potential season 5.
